We have a friendly office and are sure you will enjoy your first visit. Everyone in our office is experienced in dealing with infants, children and teens. We take pride in the ongoing training and instruction everyone in our office receives. All of our procedures have been developed to help promote a healthy smile and a positive lifelong relationship with dental care and maintenance.

The following steps usually occur during and after your initial visit to our office.

Every patient is treated based on their experience with dental care. A child's first experience with a dental office is treated with care and awareness. The level of comfort a child displays will determine our approach.

We encourage parents to visit our office before an appointment so that your child develops a sense of trust and comfort before an appointment.

You may also want to have your child see our virtual online tour. Sometimes seeing other children having a good time in our office can alleviate uncertainty in their minds about what they can expect.

During your child's first appointment we will introduce your child to an exam. We will then educate both the child and parent on the special needs children have for proper oral hygiene. If your child is in immediate need of dental care we will be sensitive to your child's feelings and handle the entire situation appropriately.

Occasionally some children experience extreme distress and we are prepared for those situations as well. We can offer mild sedatives and when a child is unable to allow necessary treatment we have board certified anesthesiologist available.
